Arrival at Rinas, Tirana Airport and from there take the van to Shkoder. Accommodation in a Hotel for 2 nights in Shkoder including 2 dinners in different restaurants. Relaxing evening to recover from the travel and just an afternoon walk in the busy nightlife of Shkoder.
This day is dedicated entirely to exploring Shkoder, you will be taken on a Walking tour in the morning then a bike tour during the day, and the day will end with the last tour for the sunset at Rozafa Castle, after that dinner in the city center.
This day will start early in the morning and will take you from Shkoder to Komani lake where you will take the ferry (2 hours,30min) through a picturesque view in one of the top visited places in Albania. The ferry will take you to Fierza and from there we will reach Valbona valley. You will be staying in a local guesthouse family, all the meals are included in Valbona. After lunch you will explore Valbona valley and hike around.
This is the most challenging day you will have and you will hike from Valbona valley into Theth valley. This hike is the number one hike to do in Albania and you will not regret doing it despite the fatigue, it is considered an intermediate difficulty hike and it is estimated to last between 5 – 7 hours. Upon your arrival in Theth you will be located in another local family Guesthouse where all meals will be included.
After breakfast you will be taken close to one of the most visited places in Theth, the Blue Eye. This is another round trip of about 2 hours. After that a van will take you back to Shkoder where you will pick up your luggage from the hotel in Shkoder and travel to Berat. Accommodation in a hotel in Berat and dinner included.
This day will be dedicated entirely to exploring the city of Berat, the little streets of the old district and the castle. A wine tour will be included in Berat.
Early in the morning you will be leaving Berat, make a stop in Vlora and from there cross the Llogara pass from where you will have a panoramic view of the Ionian sea and Corfu island. Your destination is the city of Saranda where you will be spending a night in a local hotel. There will be the opportunity for you to enjoy the pedestrian street along the sea and go for dinner in one of the local restaurants.
Early in the morning you will depart for Butrini, the first Albanian Unesco site and spend half of the day there after that we will be heading for Gjirokaster “the Stone City”. Enjoy dinner in one of the traditional restaurants in town.
In the morning you will explore Gjirokaster museum & the castle and after lunch we will head for Albania’s capital Tirana. Where you will spend the night, including dinner.
The last of your full days will take you into a Walking tour of Tirana and some of its museums, at night time we will take you into another restaurant for dinner.
